What do you think of this baby boy name?

I have asked this before, but just want to get a last opinion before my final decision.





What do you think of the name Tyree Nathan for a boy?





If it matters, he will be of African American, Native American, French, and Scottish decent. I picked Tyree because it is the name of a Scottish island and thought it sounded nice. Nathan seemed to flow well with it, as well.





Any opinions or suggestions welcome!

Nathaniel makes a better middle name than Nathan.

Reply:I understand your choice of name. That said I am going to play devils advocate, sorry. Some people will see the darker skin tone and think that this is a made up name like LaKisha. Are you willing to have your child and/or yourself explain their name for yrs? I gave my daughter a name from another culture and she has been correcting people (mainly pronunciation) since she has been 4 or 5. Sometimes I have wondered if I made the right choice, but she likes her name, is happy and does well in school (HS). That said I like the name.
