What is a modern/old fashioned baby boy name?

My husband and I disagree on every boy name we have looked at... He likes old fashioned names his favorite is Vincent; and I like more modern names, my favorite is Austin/Cayden. Anyone have something in the middle? Not too common?

What is a modern/old fashioned baby boy name?
I like Vincent, you won't hear of many kids with the same name.

But, seriously... I think Jason sounds very modern, even though it is a very old name... Also, Jack is a shortening of the old name John, but it always seems to sound modern. Depends what you like though (I like Vincent anyway).

although I must say Vincent is a very awesome name. i give props to your husband even though I am trying to help you. lol!
Reply:As a teacher, I just need to caution you on the modern/trendy names. There are so many multiples, they're hard to spell, and eventually, people do make fun of them I'm sorry to say. Lean towards a classic if you're in doubt.

Names that could be last names are winners, such as Jackson, Harrison, etc. or a William, Andrew, Joseph type name. Then you can give them a trendier nickname for short.
Reply:I have a few friends who are using the name "Harry". I am not that fond of it, but it is old fashioned and coming back around.
Reply:I like the names Matthew and Luke

Hope I Helped!!!
Reply:Vincent is fabulous. Every other kid in school's name will either be a form of Cayden or will rhyme with it. Austin is incredibly popular as well.

Reply:How about Caleb? Its been around for a long time, but its not too common, and still modern

Seems like every baby boy I've heard about recently is either an Aidan or a Cayden!
Reply:Levi. I've only heard the name on one person, it was the name of Leah's son in the Bible, so it's old-fashioned, but sounds modern. And the nickname would be Lee.

Never use Kennedy. It means "Ugly and deformed head". No kid deserves that horrible name.
Reply:one of my favorite boys names is Jacob.its oldfashioned but the nickname Jake is very modern.
Reply:I love OSCAR. Some people hate it though. Another one i really like is Oliver, although if you are in teh UK/ Oz this is pretty popular at the moment. Others i like that are old are:

Jasper

Bennet
